Remember this botched Spanish fresco? An opera about it just hit the stage in Vegas

On the left, a faded 19th-century painting of Jesus Christ, his head titled as he gazes upward. The paint is chipping away. On the right, an attempted restoration of the same painting by an amateur artist. He has black eyes, a flat-looking nose, and an unfinished mouth. A mound of hair around his round face, giving him the appearance of a monkey.

Behold The Man, a musical opera, tells the story of Cecilia Giménez, an elderly church parishioner who inadvertently changed the course of her town's history
