Kenyan ice hockey team on the rise has some Canadian connections

The Ice Lions hockey team based in Nairobi has its sights set on playing in the Olympics. The team recently celebrated its first title win in a friendly league, facing off against amateurs from 'colder nations' on home ice — a rink that was set up by a group of Canadians in 2005. The team is only the fifth African team inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation, is coached by a Canadian and currently has one female player.
