U.S. eases vehicle emissions rules, but overall reduction targets remain unchanged

The Biden administration on Wednesday slashed its target for U.S. electric vehicle adoption from 67 per cent by 2032 to as little as 35 per cent after industry and autoworker backlash in the political battleground state of Michigan.

Israel's military said on Wednesday it had killed around 90 gunmen in a raid on Gaza's Al-Shifa hospital, an allegation the militant Hamas group denied.

There were 41 incidents of communal tension and violence in Maharashtra between January and October 2023, according to India Hate Lab, a Washington-based research group. The group is expecting a huge rise in hate speech events during India's upcoming general elections, which run April 19 to June 4.
