Arrests in Uganda, Nigeria shine spotlight on grim state of LGBTQ rights across much of Africa

Nigeria and Uganda — among 32 of the 54 African nations with laws criminalizing same-sex relations — have some of the strictest anti-LGBTQ laws in the world. Human rights advocates say such laws also have a chilling effect on the day-to-day lives of members of the LGBTQ community.

North Korea says it simulated nuclear attack, occupation of South Korea
