Farmers in India depart protest camps after government yields on proposed reforms

Tens of thousands of jubilant Indian farmers on Saturday cleared protest sites on the capital's outskirts and began returning home, marking an end to their yearlong demonstrations against agricultural reforms that were repealed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government in a rare retreat.

Multiple deaths reported after severe storms hit U.S. Midwest, South

Tornadoes and severe weather were blamed for several deaths and injuries across parts of the U.S. Midwest and the South as a storm system caused significant damage at a candle factory in Kentucky, an Amazon facility in Illinois, a nursing home in Arkansas, and numerous homes and buildings.
