Finland seizes tanker carrying Russian oil suspected of knocking out internet, power cables

Finnish authorities on Thursday seized a ship carrying Russian oil in the Baltic Sea on suspicion it caused the outage of an undersea power cable connecting Finland and Estonia a day earlier, and that it also damaged or broke four internet lines.

2 sailors in Australian yacht race killed in separate incidents as wild weather rocks event

The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, which administers the Sydney to Hobart race, has said that two sailors on different yachts were killed after wild weather conditions during the event caused them to be struck by the boom, a large horizontal pole at the bottom of the sail.
