Sheet music written by Auschwitz prisoners collected dust for decades. This British composer restored it

A white piece of sheet music, with black music notes filling the bars of the page. There's a hole in the middle of the page and the bottom edge is scorched.

After eight years spent recovering the documents, Leo Geyer finally brought one of the pieces to an audience. He hopes the music helps people better understand Holocaust history.

An Israeli soldier apparently mistook an Israeli civilian who opened fire on one of two Hamas gunmen shooting at people at Jerusalem bus stop for a third assailant and fatally wounded him, Israeli police said on Friday.

Counting sheep, and their burps, may help lower global methane emissions

Two years ago at the UN Climate Summit in Glasgow, global leaders pledged to cut methane emissions by 30 per cent. In the U.K., some of that work is happening on sheep farms in the English countryside.
