MLB lockout ends as owners approve 5-year labour deal with unanimous vote

Players have voted to accept Major League Baseball's latest offer for a new labour deal, paving the way to end a 99-day lockout and salvage a 162-game regular season. Owners approved the five-year labour contract with a 30-0 vote. MLB was expected to formally lift the lockout around 7 p.m. on its 99th day.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is developing guidance that will ease the nationwide mask mandate on airplanes, buses and other mass transit in the U.S. next month, according to a U.S. official, but the existing face covering requirement will be extended through April 18.
