Fast food is local food, says journalist who took pictures of McDonald's all over the world

The golden arches of McDonald's appear over a building with a curved roof in the style of classical Chinese architecture. Other buildings with similar aesthetics are seen in the horizon.

Food journalist He McAtlas's photography McAtlas showcases McDonald's locations around the world, from a serene Japanese tea garden, to a "ski-thru" high in the Swedish mountains. And he's far from the only traveller who seeks out fast food chains to have an "authentic" local dining experience.
