Barbados is cutting ties with the Queen — but lack of public vote has some island residents asking why

Later this week, Barbados Governor General Sandra Mason will be sworn in as president and usher in a new republican government for the island nation. While the move is hailed by many, others are upset there wasn't more public involvement in the decision.
